OUR MISSION
The mission of I Choose Life Foundation is to improve the health and well-being of the African American community through addressing health disparities in several interrelated areas: Cardiovascular disease, Diabetes, High Blood Pressure (hypertension), Mental Health, Lupus, Obesity, Cancers and STI’s. Drawing on its life-affirming culture, values, and internal resources; the community will become effectively informed, organized and will engaged in cooperative health care and prevention projects focused on choosing life and rejecting ideas and actions which lead to health deterioration and death.
Why Us:
I Choose Life, in partnership with social, civic, civil rights organizations, Black media and the medical community, addresses several major interrelated health concerns and inequities as well as disparities facing the African American community; Cardiovascular disease, Diabetes, High Blood Pressure (hypertension), Mental Health, Lupus, Obesity, Cancer and STI’s. I Choose Life has developed a vital, inclusive and workable cooperative project between the African American community and a network of health providers, advocates, activists, community leaders and organizations, clergy, celebrities, governmental allies, Black media, persons directly affected, as well as those vulnerable.
